1. Can I request a designer to come to my home?
After an introductory phone call to get to know you and your specific window covering needs, a convenient time and date will be arranged for your in-home visit. Your designer will meet with you to review your space, answer questions, and help get your project started with confidence.
2. Can I visit your showroom without an appointment?
Absolutely! Visit our showroom Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary, and a member of our team will be available to answer questions, discuss product options, and help you get started.
However, if you would like dedicated one-on-one time with a designer for advice, product recommendations, measurements, or a detailed quote, we recommend booking an in-store appointment in advance. Our designers regularly meet with clients in their homes and at job sites, so scheduling ahead ensures a designer will be available to focus on your project and help bring your vision to life.
3. Do you service areas outside of Winnipeg?
We primarily serve Winnipeg and the surrounding areas. If you’re outside these regions, please reach out—we’ll do our best to accommodate your location.
4. Are all your blinds and shades custom-made? What does that mean?
We prioritize custom-made blinds and shades due to the advantages they offer over ready-made options, including a perfect fit, enhanced design flexibility, and superior quality. While ready-made blinds are readily available, custom solutions cater to diverse window sizes and shapes, ensuring a seamless look and optimal functionality.
5. Where are the blinds made, and do they come with a warranty?
All of our products are proudly made in North America. We work exclusively with trusted manufacturers who provide a limited lifetime warranty on all products, and most motors come with a five-year warranty—giving you peace of mind that your window coverings are built to last.
6. Can I provide my own measurements?
Absolutely. Bringing your window measurements to the showroom helps us provide product recommendations and prepare a preliminary estimate based on the window coverings you are considering.
Once you decide to move forward, we will schedule a visit to your home to verify all measurements before placing the order. This step ensures a precise fit, helps avoid costly errors, and allows us to confirm that every product will operate and look its best in your space.
7. Do I get my blinds installed by Blinds are Beautiful when I make my purchase?
At Blinds are Beautiful, we install every window covering we sell. Professional installation helps protect your manufacturer’s warranty while ensuring your blinds, shades, shutters, or drapery operate exactly as designed.
Our experienced installers also back their work with a one-year service warranty. If anything isn’t working properly during the first year after installation, we’ll come back at no charge to make adjustments, address the issue, and ensure your window coverings continue to perform as they should.
8. How long will it take from the time I place my order to installation?
Delivery times depend on the product and level of customization. During your consultation, your design consultant will outline a clear, estimated timeline for your project.
In most cases, installation takes place within 4–6 weeks from the time your order is placed. Custom drapery typically requires a longer lead time, with installation expected in 10–12 weeks.
9. When do I have to pay for my window coverings, and what payment options are available?
We take a deposit when you place your order, with the remaining balance due once your blinds arrive from the manufacturer.
You can pay by cash, cheque, debit, e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
Once your order is ready, our installer will contact you within 1–2 days to schedule your installation.
10. Will I get a lower price if I shop around?
The simple answer to this question is possibly, but the lowest price does not mean you are getting the best value for your money. We prioritize quality and expertise over simply offering the lowest price. Our goal is to deliver a positive customer experience and a long-lasting product for you to enjoy for many years in your home.
